The dashed area reserves space inside a centred front door. It does not model the door swing or a complete route to each item. Green checks mean no rectangle conflicts were found, not that every item is accessible.
Plan the space you actually use
Measure between finished internal walls, allowing for posts, insulation and other obstructions. Measure the widest and longest parts of each item. A bicycle footprint includes its handlebars; a mower may take much less room with its handle folded, but only use that measurement if you will store it folded.
Start with the awkward items
Add the biggest item first, then place things you use most often near the entrance. Leave additional room to lift boxes, open bin lids and turn a bicycle. You can add a custom rectangle called “Keep clear” to reserve an aisle.
Try a second arrangement
Rotate shelving, move items and compare the highlighted conflicts. Download one layout before trying another, or use Undo to return to an earlier arrangement. Print your final plan and check it against the real space.
Are the example sizes exact?
No. They are starting points for common storage items, not manufacturer specifications. Edit every footprint before relying on the arrangement. This is a two-dimensional rectangle planner; it does not check height, shelf loading, wall fixings, turning circles or fire escape requirements.
Where is my plan saved?
The planner autosaves on this device when browser storage is available. Download a file to keep a portable copy. A share link contains the layout and item names in its address, so only share names and details you intend to disclose. There is no account and no server-side plan storage.
